:: Info

In 1969, Nissan introduced the Datsun 240Z to the U.S. media. It featured sleek styling, a 2.4-liter inline 6-cylinder engine that produced 150 horsepower, a comfortable ride, great handling and 0-60 mph times of less than 9.0 seconds. In setting the concept for the new 2003 350Z, the creative team of designers and engineers followed the same road as the designers and engineers did more than 30 years earlier.

The newly developed 3.5-liter VQ35DE V6 engine designed to produce in excess of 280 horsepower features an expanded power range as a result of reworking the intake port design and adopting Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) technology. This enables the engine to deliver not only outstanding start-off acceleration and high-speed passing performance, but also torque characteristics suitable for city driving.
