:: Info
This model is a heavily modifed Diablo SV sporting less weight, better road handling and more power. At the time of construction, Lamborghini offered the car in four colors: orange, titan-silver, black and garish yellow.
Much of the GT's weight-loss can be attributed to the extensive use of composite materials. The agressive bodwork is almost completely made of carbon fibre. The only non-composite body panels are the roof which remains steel and the aluminum doors. The front bodywork is unque to all other Diablos as it accomidates a wider track (+110mm), brake cooling ducts and a front-mounted oil cooler . The air enters the oil cooler from the very front of the car and exits via an extractor atop the bonnet. A large engine scoop sits atop the engine cover feeding the V12 with fresh air. Unlike the SV, the airflow for this scoop is dynamically controlled by the on-board computer.
The engine has an increased displacement thanks to a 4mm increase in stroke. An indvidual intake system yields a single throttle for each cylinder. Twenty-five addional horsepower is realized thanks to this new intake, a tweaked variable valve intake system & a reworked exhaust.
At the time of delivery the customer could have custom gear ratios installed. With optional gearing, a top speed of 215 mph could be reached.
Base price: $309 000 USD.
