The last one hundred TVR Griffiths are being built to a new specification.
The new version features a new-look front and rear as well as new mirrors.
The interior has been updated and brought into line with the other models with dials, switchgear and vents being of the latest generation aluminium type.
At the time of writing, only twenty of the last one hundred remain to be built.
The rest of the formula has not changed and the blend of classical beauty and race-car performance which so wowed the crowds in 1990 has as much impact now as ever.
The 5 litre TVR Power V8 rockets the car from 0-60 in only 4.1 seconds ,endowing it with explosive overtaking ability.
In order to harness that sort of power, the Griffith 500 features a race-bred chassis, all round ventilated disc brakes and a limited slip differential.
Enjoying a nimbleness that can only come with a car of the compact dimensions of the Griffith 500, the front-engined rear drive layout gives superb handling and roadholding.
The clever stowable hard-top roof design means that one has all the advantages of a soft top without the disadvantages and the advent of TVR's own power steering system and lighter clutch design now mean that the Griffith is a car that can be used every day.
